Okay, so it’s only July. I know, everyone complains that businesses push to get the Christmas shopping season started earlier every year, and I suppose there’s some truth in that. BUT–sometimes getting the jump on the holidays is a GOOD idea! Imagine you have a carload of folks riding with you to visit relatives. You can listen to the radio playing the same old tunes over and over, or you could pop in a brand new CD and listen to that for an hour or so. And how much did you shell out for that CD? Ten bucks, easy, unless you scooped it outta the Bargain Bin at Dirty Dan’s Discount Barn and Body Wax Emporium. (Heh, like you thought we didn’t know where you shop!)
OR, you could try something new and different for a whole lot less money–maybe even FREE! Get it early and you can enjoy it long before the holidays even begin, and long after they’re over, too. Want a sample? Check this out:
Paul Licameli has done an amazing job on this production. Not only does he handle a wide range of character voices, he does so in such a way that every last one of them comes absolutely alive. He had me wondering what would happen next, and I wrote the stories! That’s what a consummate professional does, and it’s a testament to his skills both behind the mike and elsewhere in the studio. You’ll enjoy his performance for years to come, I promise.
So, what’s all this about a free copy? It’s easy! If you’re already following this blog, just post a little feedback below advising that you’d love to win a copy of the Christmas Beyond the Box audiobook. That’s it! No boxtops, no essays, nada. Just tell me you’d like to win. If you’re not following the blog, you can still be eligible, but you have to do TWO things: 1) FOLLOW the dadgum blog already! Just click on the button in the upper left corner of the screen, and 2) Post a note below telling me you’d like to win a copy of the audiobook. Seriously, that’s all there is to it.
I’ll put all the names in a hat and have my amazing grand-daughters pick four of ’em — FOUR! Try getting odds that good in your state lottery or the Publisher’s Clearinghouse Sweepstakes.
So, don’t delay! There could be an advantage to signing up early. Your name would be much more likely to get cycled to the top during the “mix ’em up” stage. Hey, it could happen….
